The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.LocationWellington, NZResponsibilitiesProcess transactions accurately and efficiently for payment in line with agreed processes to ensure internal and external levels are met or exceeded.Provide professional support and issue resolution to internal customers and suppliers.Manage and lead the accurate and timely completion of accounts payable tasks which includes outgoing payments (excluding payroll) whether by interface, purchase order (PO), or other process.Support the public service aim to pay suppliers on a timely basis within 10 working days of receiving an invoice.About youExperience with supplier maintenance, purchase card, and expense functions within the Accounts Payable team; strong understanding of financial control and ability to identify process improvement opportunities.Attention to detail with ability to balance detail and big picture.Excellent communication (oral and written) and ability to build effective relationships with internal and external customers.Ability to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.About our groupThe Finance division supports decision-makers by providing finance advice and services, including budgeting, forecasting, financial stewardship, appropriations management, and financial controls and compliance.How to applyPlease submit your cover letter and resume using the apply button.
