• The Electoral Commission is preparing for the 2026 General Election; we are looking for highly capable leaders to take on the pivotal role of Electorate Manager.

You will lead the planning, establishment, and delivery of voting services within your community (electorate) to ensure participation, uphold the integrity of the electoral process, and deliver accurate results.The salary is $127-$134k.These roles will be based in Grafton, Auckland and supporting the Mt Albert, Epsom and Auckland Central Electorates.

You will work alongside engagement and enrolment teams to understand local needs, particularly for communities with low participation and for Maori voters, ensuring services are accessible and inclusive.

You will build and lead a capable, community-reflective team, select and prepare secure and accessible voting locations, and oversee the smooth, neutral, and compliant delivery of all voting activities.

With responsibility for managing the electorate budget, you will balance quality service delivery with careful stewardship of resources.In this role you will :
