Overview
To create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive atmosphere for our school community and deliver friendly, efficient customer service. Primarily responsible for providing customer support services to parents, whānau and staff. Also to assist with ākonga (students) during cover or busy periods.
This is a part-time, permanent position : 15-20 hours per week term time only.

Responsibilities
- Main office duties including monitoring all incoming courier deliveries; ensure any attached invoices are given to the Accounts admin assistant and mark internal delivery destination (liaise with caretaker to organize delivery within school).
- Greeting parents, whānau and visitors.
- Upkeep and presentation of the Reception area.
- Answering calls; handling student enquiries and directing as appropriate.
- Assist with the student sick bay.
- Assist the full-time Receptionist with issuing loan uniforms (blazers, shoes, etc.) and maintain associated register.
- Manage students signing out from school (for appointments, sick).
- Receipt of incoming student payments to the office - cash and Eftpos.
- Scanning of accounts payable invoices.
- Reprographic / laminating services for staff.
- Other duties – Provide assistance to the Finance Manager, Principal's PA, Communications, Accounts and SLT as needed.
- Load automatic payments from bank statement and reconcile in Xero.
- Laundry and stocking of sanitary products.
Skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Experience with student management system desirable.Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Office applications.Ability to engage with people in a manner that is culturally appropriate and consistent with the principles of Te Tiriti O Waitangi, and Pasifika cultures.Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.Work on own initiative and as part of a team.Excellent attention to detail.Plan and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines and maintain accurate accounts.Current first aid certificate (school will arrange training / refresher).#J-18808-Ljbffr
