Start date is negotiable up to early 2026.The senior education advisor works with tumuaki, senior school leaders, and Boards of Trustees to strengthen educational performance in schools and kura.This role is part of our education advisory service, supporting the sector to implement priorities by : Communicating government priorities and strategiesProviding implementation supportTracking and reporting on progressWorking with schools, kura and whanau to support attendance and engagementUsing available supports and interventions to improve outcomes.Salary range : $84,425 - $102,271 per annum plus 3% KiwiSaver, with appointment based on skills and experience.About you–Mohou ake We are seeking someone with experience and knowledge of the schooling sector and its legislation.To be successful, you will need : A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent practical experience, preferably in a school leadership roleAbility to use data and insights to identify trends, risks and opportunitiesStrong communication skills, with proven ability to provide timely, high-quality adviceUnderstanding of NELP, Ka Hikitia, the Action Plan for Pacific Education, and Success for AllCommitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and tangatawhenuatangaWillingness to uphold the Public Service Standards of Integrity and ConductA current full driver's licence, as regional travel is required.If this opportunity interests you, please apply with your cover letter and resume.
