- As an Education Tutor you will support a variety of education programmes and activities offered to the tane in our care.
Key responsibilities include :
Administering Literacy and Numeracy Adult Assessment Tools (LNAATs)Developing a pathway for learning with the tane in our careAssisting tane in our care to utilise our secure online learning suite to improve job search skillsEncourage prison-based learners to improve their literacy and numeracy skillsSupport engagement in self-directed learningEnsure all relevant learner information is recordedIf you want to learn more about being an Education Tutor click here : to visit our role page.Mou | About youWe are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our education team.This is a rewarding opportunity to support prison-based learners to become better prepared for employment and / or further education.
To be successful you will bring the following :
Experience assessing and working with young people and adults who have not previously had education successExperience in engaging with Maori and Pasifika in educationA strengths-based approach that embraces manaakitanga and whanaungatangaDemonstrate exceptional communication and organisation skillsThe ability to influence, inspire andmotivateA full driver's license is essential for this position.You must also legally be able to work fulltime in Aotearoa, New Zealand.
