You'll work closely with both suppliers and customers to balance demand, secure supply and maximise commercial outcomes.
Regular customer contact, strategic account development, pricing, reporting and identifying opportunities to expand product ranges are all core to this role.A great opportunity for a high-energy commercial sales professional to operate in a fast-moving export / import environment and build a career in ingredients trading.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow a portfolio of food & ingredient customers across AU & NZ.Identify and win new business opportunities in food ingredients & raw materials.Build and maintain strong supplier and customer relationships.Monitor supply / demand trends and ensure product availability.Lead pricing, negotiations, sales reporting and accurate forecasting.Increase customer SKU range through cross-sell and upsell.Provide market insights and contribute to business growth strategy.Support supplier visits and customer engagement.
About You
Must have experience trading food ingredients or commodity raw materials.Based in Melbourne.Commercial account management or trading experience in food / FMCG / ingredients.Relationship-driven, proactive and commercially sharp.Confident communicator and negotiator.Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.Ability to handle multiple priorities and move at pace.Collaborative mindset with a hunger to succeed.Comfortable with travel when required.
