About the role
Our community loves to swim, and we proudly work with preschool- and school-aged children during weekday mornings, afternoons, and weekend mornings.
This is an active and rewarding role where you will contribute to our community through helping children develop essential life skills.
While previous experience, a swim teaching qualification, and a current first aid certificate is highly valued, all successful applicants must complete our fully funded in-house training program as a requirement of the role.

Selwyn Aquatic Centre are seeking to employ a motivated, energetic instructor to join our fun and passionate Learn to Swim Team.
As a Swim School Instructor, you will be responsible for; planning structured and engaging lessons, teaching with encouragement and positive reinforcement, assessing participants to ensure they are improving their swimming ability and reaching milestones.
The role is on a permanent part-time basis, 28.25 hours per week.
Extra hours may be available to cover leave or additional classes.
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - 11 : 45am-2 : 45pm and then 3 : 15pm-6 : 15pm
Sunday 8.15am - 1.00pm
About you
To be successful in this role you will be committed to completing all training required, be comfortable working with preschool and school-aged children, committed to working positively within a team and value the importance of swim safety.
Excellent problem-solving
Be available for a weekday and a weekend day.
