About The Role
Our community loves to swim, and we work with preschool- and school-aged children, youth, and adults during weekday mornings, afternoons, and weekend mornings.
This is an active and rewarding role where you will contribute to our community by helping learners develop essential life skills.
While previous experience, a swim teaching qualification, and a current first aid certificate are highly valued, all successful applicants must complete our fully funded in-house training program as a role requirement.

Selwyn Aquatic Centre is seeking motivated, energetic instructors to join our fun and passionate Learn to Swim Team.
As a Swim School Instructor, you will be responsible for planning engaging lessons, teaching with encouragement and positive reinforcement, assessing participants to ensure they improve their swimming ability and reach milestones.
The following shifts are available on a permanent part-time basis.
Extra hours may be available to cover leave or additional classes.
Monday to Friday - 3 : 15pm-6 : 15pm
Saturday and Sunday - 8 : 15am-1 : 00pm (includes a 30-minute unpaid break)
About You
To succeed in this role, you will be committed to completing all required training, comfortable working with all ages, and value the importance of swim safety.
You will also have :
Excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to all ages
Strong problem-solving skills
Availability for at least one weekday and one weekend day
Excellent customer service skills to make learners feel at ease
A love for being in the water
