About this role | Mo tenei turanga

We have a permanent Business Support Manager role at our Maungawhau | Mt Eden office.

The Business Support Manager develops, leads and manages the performance and delivery of an administration and support services team, supporting all managers accessing support services in that directorate (or geographic area).

You will provide direction and leadership to your team members to enable them to provide the required business support services of the Director and their Leadership Team.

Salary range : $86,412 - $108,015 per annum + 3% kiwi saver.

The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

About you | Mohou ake

To be successful in this role you will have the following experience :

Proven team leadership experience

Experience in developing and delivering workplans that align to organisational strategies and work programmes.

Experience in developing, monitoring, improving and maintaining functional workflows and processes.

Experience in leading and contributing to embedding organisational change that delivers intended outcomes.

Experience building and leading inclusive and diverse teams and creating a safe, open and responsive culture.

Experience building relationships to achieve shared outcomes.

Proven experience of building effective stakeholder engagement – recognising the different needs and appropriate approach to working with different stakeholders.

Ability to quickly identify and mitigate risks.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver quality work on time.

Understanding of best practice service delivery in the public sector.

Sound understanding of Machinery of Government, public sector delivery structures and systems.

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Knowledge of IT systems, Microsoft applications, database applications, records management.

The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.

About our group and team | Matau ropu ake

Our team provides leadership and integrated services to the sector and others.

This includes services such as learning support and education advice and regulation functions for schools and early learning services.

As a frontline group we develop and harness existing relationships with communities at the regional and local level through the Directors of Education, including deep relationships with iwi and hapu.

Our Directors of Education have the lead role and relationship with early learning, kohanga, school and kura, and this means they will be across all the services we provide at a local level.

We also collectively strengthen relationships with our diverse communities who support Maori, Pacific peoples, disabled akonga and / or akonga with learning support needs, and akonga from disadvantaged backgrounds.
