We're looking for a proactive and technically minded Delivery Engineer to join our Wastewater Networks team.

You'll play a key role in ensuring our reactive maintenance service partners deliver high-quality, cost-effective work that meets Southern Water's standards and keeps our sewer network running smoothly.

What You'll Be Doing

Oversee and govern work requests from service partners and internal teams.

Collaborate with customer case teams, planners, engineers, and contractors to resolve issues.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and strategic incentives.

Monitor contractor performance, compliance, and health & safety standards.

Review job volumes, costs, and escalate high-value or delayed cases.

Liaise with external stakeholders including customers, contractors, and local authorities.

Ensure timely delivery of work orders and manage backlogs.

Provide cover for other regional engineers during absences.

What We're Looking For

Strong technical understanding of sewer networks and the implications of work required to address asset failures, along with repair techniques.

Knowledge of NRSWA, CDM regulations, and health & safety risks.

Excellent communication and decision-making skills.

Ability to interpret management data and balance customer needs with cost efficiency.

Collaborative, resilient, and able to work independently.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.
