Our Metro Sports Turf – Citywide Team is responsible for maintaining and developing sports fields across Christchurch's community parks.

We're looking for a Sports Turf Curator to join our team based in Wigram.
This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for preparing and maintaining sports turf to the highest standards, supporting events, and ensuring our fields are safe, functional, and visually impressive.
Key responsibilities include :
Turf preparation and renovation for community to international-level events
Implementing environmentally conscious curatorial practices
Supporting events with turf maintenance and logistics
Liaising with stakeholders, sporting groups, and park users
Operating and maintaining turf equipment and machinery
You're passionate about turf management and thrive in a team environment.
You bring :
A Level 4 qualification in Sports Turf Management or similar
Minimum 5 years' experience in turf preparation and grounds maintenance
Grow Safe certification, Wheels / Tracks / Rollers licence, and First Aid (desirable)
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions

Position - Full time, Permanent
Location - This position is primarily based at Nga Puna Wai, Wigram
Salary - The salary band for this position goes from $74,394 to $82,660 per annum based on a 40 hour week.
Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader organisation for the same or similar roles.
