Responsibilities
Oversee and maintain specialised equipment, including treadmills, ergometers, metabolic carts, and motion capture systems.
Support staff and students in delivering quality research, teaching activities, and ensure efficient operation of advanced laboratories and equipment.
Ensure health and safety procedures are well managed and followed; maintain robust record keeping; ensure equipment is regularly serviced; and manage supplies to guarantee safe and efficient operations.
Advise on equipment and software needs; troubleshoot technical issues; support the acquisition of new tools and systems; and ensure smooth operation of laboratory processes.
Qualifications and skills
Technical expertise in sport and exercise science laboratory environments; ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment and software issues.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to assist others to maintain high standards in research and service delivery.
Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines including biomechanics, strength and conditioning, exercise physiology, anthropometry and biochemistry.
