  • We’re looking for an experienced Sales Engineer who specialises in MDM solutions to join our growing team in ANZ. You have a great passion for modern technology, and you are driven by your energy to identify and resolve complex problems, while providing excellent customer service. Sales Engineers are responsible for satisfying the needs of those about to become customers in an effort to maximise their experience with SOTI products. This includes providing technical support, revenue generation in net new customer acquisition and add-on sales, partner enablement training and following up on existing support cases as needed. This position demands that one maintain a high level of customer service through all interactions as a SOTI representative and consistently engage with the sales team to identify revenue opportunities.

  • What you will do –
  • Develop and grow revenue through consultative selling with clients and prospects.
  • Collaborating with the regional sales team consultatively with the client / stakeholders. Helping them to envision the possibility of mobility.
  • Perform production demonstrations that articulate the business and technical value of SOTI solutions.
  • Educate on and facilitate SOTI solutions that can effectively address both business and technical outcomes, positioning business value to decision makers in customer organisations.
  • Present the solution architecture, including all technical aspects of the product and supporting systems.
  • Provide pre-sales technical support, installing and configuring enterprise software solutions during POC to prospective customers.
  • Communicate with internal product development teams to resolve product issues & generate recommendations for product roadmaps (feature requests).
  • Focus on ongoing external education (presentation, calls, and meetings) on the device management & security landscape and the value of the SOTI One platform.
  • Assist with the execution of internal team projects and initiatives.
  • Regular onsite visits to customer and partner locations across New Zealand are required, along with regional travel. Additional travel to APAC headquarters (Melbourne) and various events across APAC or globally may also be necessary.
  • Experience you will bring –
  • Proven track record of success in direct selling to Tier 1 accounts in key sectors such as Utilities, Healthcare, Emergency Services, and Construction.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of work experience with experience related to mobile device management solutions and enterprise mobility (Android, iOS, Linux, Windows), BYOD, SaaS
  • Prior experience working in a technical customer-facing role. Ideally, as a pre-sales / sales engineer.
  • Knowledge of computer networking principles (DNS, IP network, Firewalls, etc).
  • Knowledge with Single Sign-On (SSO), Identity Application Management (IAM), Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), Identity provider (IdP).
  • Knowledge of certificate authorities, certificate management & distribution, encryption methodologies (SHA1 / 2, TLS etc).
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP protocol and identity management systems.
  • Understanding and experience with Databases (i.e. MS SQL Server, MYSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
  • Solid grasp of IoT protocols like MQTT, SNMP, HTTP / HTTPS, FTP / SFTP, and LPR / IPP, API integration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with demonstrated ability to communicate the complexities of technical programs.
  • Experience with device onboarding, plugin (DSP) deployment, remote management, and firmware updates.
  • Understanding and / or knowledge of business processes & sales cycle.
  • Understanding of containerization and virtualisation.
  • Work autonomously with minimum supervision.
  • Able to plan, prioritise and organise workload, consistently working within service standards and agreed objectives.
