We're looking for someone to join our team in the Digital Channels domain at BNZ as we lead the charge in a major digital modernization effort.Mo te Turanga | About the RoleWe sat down with our Engineering Lead, and they let us know the following about the role.What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?
Executing and Analyzing Tests : The person will spend their days performing manual and automated tests for new features and bug fixes, then analyzing the results to identify issues.Collaborating with the Agile Squad : A key part of the role is working closely with developers and business analysts to discuss requirements, clarify acceptance criteria, and ensure a shared understanding of quality.Writing and Maintaining Test Scripts : They will be responsible for creating and updating automated test scripts to improve our continuous integration and delivery (CI / CD) pipeline.Investigating Bugs : The candidate will actively investigate reported bugs, reproduce issues, and provide detailed information to developers to help them find a solution quickly.Leading Quality Efforts : As a senior member, they will mentor junior testers, help define testing strategies for new projects, and act as a go-to person for quality-related questions.What do we want you to know before you apply?

You will also bring : 3 to 5+ years of experience with creating and maintaining manual and automation frameworks.Hands-on experience and understanding in creating automation test cases using : Back-end : Java, REST Assured and Insomnia / Postman and Cypress.Hands-on experience in AWS ECS / EKS and Openshift testingExperience in creating test strategy, creating, and maintaining comprehensive test artifacts, including test reports, test plans, and other essential documentation.Exposure to ready-to-code and ability to deliver code for white box testingUtilize JMeter for performance and load testing to ensure application responsiveness and scalability.Experience in API testing, either manual or through automation frameworks with good understanding about Rest APIs and how they work.Agile development Analysis and Problem-Solving skills (Scrum and Kanban desirable).
Experience with Docker working within cloud infrastructure, infrastructure as codeExperience with Jenkins and / or similar CI / CD tooling - creating / maintaining pipelines and / or source code management systems - GitExperience with AWS and KafkaExperience in banking or financial servicesWhat attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role?
