Quality Assurance Automation Engineer
Responsibilities
Deliver testing and automation outcomes in a cross functional scrum team
Utilise your Playwright and Azure DevOps skills to build test automation suites and raise levels of test automation
Collaborate and contribute in a supportive environment with a focus on continuous improvement and empowering others and embedding quality best practices
Bring your knowledge of the principles of Integration testing and contribute toward the evolution of our test engineering practices and champion quality
The opportunity
Play a key role in the technical delivery of our innovative software solutions in a growing and maturing software development team.
You will be working collaboratively with our internal teams to deliver a range of software solutions to our diverse customer base.
This role will leverage your test engineering skills in a real-world setting, as a key contributor to the delivery of new and existing Beca digital projects, both in New Zealand and globally.
You will be comfortable sharing your knowledge and expertise and helping the team to grow their testing capability.
With a broad range of software solutions in play, the ability to switch focus and prioritise work is a must.

Qualifications
2+ years of software testing experience with a foundation in test automation
Strong knowledge and proved experience in Playwright and Azure DevOps
Experience using source control tools and managing the test environment configurations
Experience developing, using and maintaining test automation frameworks and planning for automated test maintenance and ensuring the automations are running
Thorough knowledge of the principles of functional and non-functional testing, test planning and reporting, test design, test case writing and maintenance and manual exploratory testing
Experience in reporting, investigating, triage and tracking bugs
Experience of DevOps practices and continuous integration and delivery including CI / CD test pipelines
An Agile and open mindset, able to consider new ideas and approaches to complex situations
A focus on outcomes and a proven problem-solving ability
Proactive, flexible, and comfortable with ambiguity
Great communication skills with the ability to build meaningful and collaborative relationships across various levels of a business
Desirable / Beneficial
Microsoft Azure platform, Microsoft .
NET, SQL, React JavaScript, Power BI
Using AI to help with test plans and test cases

You are a proponent of shift left test driven development and believe that Quality Assurance must be a fully integrated function of the software delivery lifecycle.
You have a proven technical testing background and a desire to influence and shape how testing must evolve to meet the demands of the future.
You are dynamic and innovative and enjoy coming up with new ways to deliver.
