Teacher of science - physics

Overview

Waimairi-iri Burnside High School is seeking a permanent, part-time assistant teacher of science with physics to commence at the start of term 1, 2026 (Wednesday, 28 January 2026) or by negotiation. This is an exciting opportunity to teach at one of New Zealand's leading coeducational schools. Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging science instruction for Years 7–15 with a focus on student engagement and achievement.
• Collaborate with the science faculty to plan, assess, and implement curriculum including physics content.
• Contribute to the co-curricular life of the school.
• Participate in induction and ongoing professional development.
