Do you have the perfect mix of heart and hustle? At our Bupa Sunset Village, we’re looking for a Village Coordinator who can build genuine connections with our residents and their families while also driving results that keep our community thriving.

You’ll be the welcoming face of our village, the go-to person for residents, and the friendly guide for prospective residents considering making Bupa Sunset their new home. You’ll combine empathy, professionalism, and sales know-how to help people make one of life’s biggest decisions with confidence.

This is a Full Time Permanent role worked between Monday to Friday, with one Saturday or late evening per month for open days and special events.

If you’re an organiser, a relationship builder, and someone who loves seeing your work make a real difference, this could be the perfect next step for you.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the village residents' welfare, well-being, and overall experience.
  • Be accountable for the day-to-day administration and operations of the village.
  • Manage the enquiries and sales process and ensure an easy transition into village life.
  • Work with the General Manager to achieve village sales, occupancy, and financial targets.
  • Provide ongoing social connections and manage the monthly activities programme.
  • Organise activities, transport, and events to meet the needs of the village residents.
  • Manage the Induction Programme for all new residents into the Village.
  • Attend to residents’ day-to-day maintenance needs, oversee apartment refurbishments, and maintain a high standard of presentation of the community areas and grounds.

About you

We are looking for someone with an engaging style, an understanding of commercial drivers, and excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Previous experience in an administration, customer service, and / or sales role, ideally in a related healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and easily build rapport.
  • Engage with our elderly residents, have patience, listen to their needs, and professionally manage their expectations.
  • High level of computer literacy, organisational, and administration skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders while working to meet deadlines.
  • A clean current driver’s license with at least 5 years driving experience.
  • Preferably, you’ll also have a relevant qualification and a workplace First Aid Certificate.
  • Applicants must be legally entitled to work in NZ.
  • Extra Reasons to Belong

  • Fully subsidised Southern Cross health insurance to our eligible permanent NZ employees and a discount on insurance cover for eligible family members.
  • Wellbeing discounts and advice, EAP counselling services, study support, and cultural leave.
  • Paid parental leave - in addition to standard parental leave, Bupa offers 12 weeks of paid leave for primary carers and 2 weeks for secondary carers.
  • Refer-a-friend programme.
  • Professional Development – in-house and external training and development.
  • Industry-competitive remuneration and benefits, and internal reward and recognition programmes.
  • No matter who you are or where you come from, we encourage you to ‘Be You at Bupa’.
  • Next steps
