We are seeking high-energy individuals to join us for the summer. Our Work Placement Program will run from November 2025 until February 2026 and is a fantastic opportunity for you to experience what a career in local government could be like!

This exciting opportunity is in our Partnerships & Programmes team. The Kaupapa of this team is to collaborate with our community and the social sector to build a thriving, socially cohesive community with strong wellbeing.

If successful, you will work within a supportive team gaining hands-on experience and contributing towards various and diverse projects – plus you’ll be lucky enough to learn from some of our best and brightest leaders.

Responsibilities and expectations

• Contribute to diverse projects within the Partnerships & Programmes team during the November 2025–February 2026 placement.
• Gain hands-on experience and learn from leaders while supporting team objectives.
• Collaborate with community partners and the social sector to help build a thriving, socially cohesive community with strong wellbeing.
