What we are looking for :
We are looking for an experienced
Chef
to work at
Lakes District Hospital, Queenstown
Permanent Part-Time
role
, working a
minimum of 17 hours per week specifically over weekends.
There is also an
opportunity to work an additional 21 hours per week as a kitchen assistant.
What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for preparing, cooking and serving quality menu items for the hospital staff.
You will be establishing and maintaining quality control, and assisting with ordering and menu development.
In addition, you will be assisting with general kitchen and cleaning duties.
Providing cover for annual and sick leave (as and when required)
Our Ideal Candidate?
Will have experience with Asian Cuisine as a bonus
Will be hardworking, reliable and have a friendly and positive attitude.
Will have experience working as a chef in a commercial kitchen.
Will hold a food safety certificates (Unit Standard 167 & 168) or be happy to train for one.
Will thrive under pressure and be a team player.
Will have knowledge of temperature procedures and can work to timeframes.
Will have superior customer service skills but most importantly will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.
