About the role

We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and skilled Paediatric Radiologist to join our dynamic Radiology team at Dunedin Hospital.

This is an exciting opportunity for a specialist with a passion for paediatric imaging to work in a collaborative environment with other healthcare professionals in a well-established, fully integrated team.

As a Paediatric Radiologist, you will

provide expert paediatric radiology services across a wide range of imaging modalities, including X-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine

interpret imaging studies for paediatric patients, from neonates to adolescents

work closely with Paediatricians, Neonatologists, Surgeons, and other medical professionals to provide comprehensive, family-centred care

contribute to the training and mentoring of junior medical staff and Registrars

participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and radiology reviews

ensure high standards of care, quality control, and safety in imaging procedures for children

participate in the 1 : 6 on-call roster to cover acute general paediatrics, and a range of out-patient services covering all modalities across the department.

About you

To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following criteria :

Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) or equivalent

Significant experience and expertise in paediatric radiology

A strong commitment to high-quality patient care and a compassionate approach to paediatric patients

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

An interest in teaching and mentoring Radiology Registrars

A positive, proactive approach to clinical challenges and continuous professional development

Salary range

This role belongs to the ASMS Collective Agreement and falls between Step 1 ($185,380) and Step 15 ($267,980 per annum pro-rata).
