The role | Te mahi
As Development Manager, you’ll manage a dynamic portfolio of prospects, using thoughtful strategies to identify, engage, and cultivate potential donors. You’ll work closely with campus colleagues to align fundraising priorities and lead major gift conversations. Alumni events will be key opportunities to spark new connections and strengthen existing relationships.
With a strong understanding of advancement best practices, you’ll monitor progress toward campaign goals, maintain accurate records, and ensure each prospect has a tailored engagement plan. Guided by DARO’s Prospect Management Guidelines, you’ll also bring new ideas and a fresh perspective to our fundraising approach, staying attuned to national and global trends.

This is a part‑time position (18.75 hours per week) based in Ōtautahi, Christchurch.
The salary range for this role is $96,587 to $105,532, Top of Range $114,474.
You must have the right to live and work in Aotearoa New Zealand to be considered for this position.
