Role Overview
As a Support Worker you will support people with intellectual disabilities to enjoy great lives at home and in their community.
You'll help them attend community activities, develop daily living skills, manage routines, pursue goals and maintain healthy lifestyles.
Key Responsibilities
Attend community activities and outings.
Support the development of independence and daily living skills.
Assist with daily routines, including showering, dressing, medication and meals.
Encourage pursuit of personal goals, interests and hobbies.
Promote healthy choices and overall well-being.
Maintain strong connections with whanau and the community.
Hours & Shifts
Awake night shifts 9.45 pm – 7.15 am (64 hours per fortnight, 4 nights).
Part-time rosters
Regular weekend shifts required.
What You Will Bring
Experience supporting high-needs clients or providing personal care for adults.
Flexibility to work rostered shifts including days, evenings and weekends.
Comfortable with computers and tablets.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Physical fitness to provide necessary physical support.
Full NZ driver's licence.
