As an Employment Consultant you will support jobseekers in achieving financial independence and help connect them to employment opportunities.

Responsibilities

Meet clients referred from Work and Income and focus on work-first employment pathways leading to financial independence

Build meaningful connections with local employers, businesses, government and industry partners, disability support and other providers to secure employment opportunities for jobseekers

Get to know jobseekers, understand their stories and foster trust so you can help them achieve goals that align with their experience

Help jobseekers upskill by identifying training needs, liaising with providers to secure short-course certifications

Qualifications

Current full NZ driver's licence and reliable vehicle (work-related travel reimbursement included)

Experience in recruitment, social services, sales, business development, government or industry sectors

Life skills, enthusiasm to help people, grit and resilience, and the ability to bring the best out of people

Self-driven and entrepreneurial approach to work
