About the role :

As a Financial Accountant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data. You’ll support month-end processes, and contribute to the smooth running of Finance with the following responsibilities :

Supporting month-end close and reporting deadlines

Completing bank reconciliations and coding transactions

Managing GST, FBT, and other tax-related reporting

Maintaining and reconciling the General Ledger

Overseeing accounts receivable and debt collection processes

Reconcile asset management and prepare lease accounting records

Provide support to branch staff on finance processes

Contributing to process improvements and automation initiatives

Assist with reporting

What we’re looking for :

A degree in Accounting or Finance

CA or CPA qualification

2+ years’ NZ experience in a similar accounting role

Strong understanding of accounting principles and ERP systems

Intermediate level of Excel

Excellent attention to detail and time management skills

A collaborative team player who can also work independently

Strong communication skills – both written and verbal

A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
