Job descriptionProven administration or technical support experience in a food, hospitality, or education setting. Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with attention to detail. A proactive, flexible, and solution‑focused approach to daily work. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and suppliers. Previous experience in food preparation or a food‑related industry. Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and handling best practices. Competitive remuneration. About the role
Our Food Technology Technician role provides essential support to the teaching and learning in Food Technology — ensuring that equipment, ingredients, and resources are available and managed effectively and safely to enable engaging, high‑quality learning experiences. This is a fixed‑term contract, school term only, full‑time opportunity starting in mid‑January 2026.
Job Description
- Support teachers with lesson preparation, set‑up, demonstrations, and supervision during practical classes.
- Manage food orders, stock levels, and budgeting for consumables and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe learning environment, ensuring compliance with food safety and health regulations.
- Coordinate cleaning, maintenance, and inventory of all Food Technology resources and equipment.
- Play an active role in promoting sustainability practices such as waste reduction and recycling.
