Project Engineer

Role

With the ongoing expansion of the infrastructure programme, we are looking for a Project Engineer to be part of our team handling Project Development, Interface Management, and Construction Logistics.

About the role

The Project Engineer supports the Project Development Managers, the Senior Interface Managers and the Construction Logistics Senior Manager in their day-to-day activities.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring daily site activities
• Overseeing and coordinating the work of contractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure compliance with client requirements
• Assisting in Permit to Work applications
• Coordinating interfaces between contractors, operations and stakeholders as required
• Updating and maintaining interface, risk and opportunity registers
• Assisting with project development tasks, such as preliminary designs, cost estimates, and construction methods, to support new business cases
• Contributing to the ongoing monitoring and management of safety, health, wellbeing, and environmental matters with the AKL HSW and Environmental teams
• Contributing to the reporting of progress, achievements, and key risks and opportunities
• Demonstrating Auckland Airport's commitment to a "people first" approach in health, safety, and wellbeing
