Based at the East Tamaki Design Centre, this opportunity seeks an intermediate–senior level Industrial Design specialist with experience in Product Development who can design customer-value solutions aligned with our brand positioning.Reporting to the Head of Industrial Design, you will be the voice for the customer, delivering innovative, useful, and beautiful products that strengthen our competitive position.ResponsibilitiesBe part of a team delivering a customer insight–led product development vision.Work on a range of current and future products.Collaborate with a team of Industrial Designers and influence product design decisions with engineers, representing design and brand perspectives.What We OfferOpportunity to move into a large, complex global organisation headquartered in NZ, with diverse challenges and ongoing development.

The organisation is recognised as a leading, trusted New Zealand brand.This is a great time to join us on our journey.Requirements / QualificationsProven ability to influence and build cross-functional relationships; able to communicate visually and verbally.Experience leading delivery of projects or activities within larger projects.Experience collaborating with other specialists to develop new designs, with both new and existing manufacturing processes.Aesthetic maturity; self-driven; able to work to tight schedules.Strong understanding of mechanics, kinematics, manufacturing processes and materials.Experience in model-making and prototyping is highly desirable.Proficiency with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, parametric CAD (e.g., PTC Creo), and rendering (e.g., KeyShot or similar).
