OverviewVinnies has been dedicated to serving whanau throughout Aotearoa for over 160 years, providing essential support services and essentials such as emergency food parcels, and other wellbeing / developmental programmes.

Our mission is to empower our community and uphold cultural values as we respond to the needs of those facing material hardship.Last year Vinnies Tamaki Makaurau Trust mobilised over 2,200 volunteers, supported Auckland households with more than 23,000 food parcels, and engaged with over 27,000 individuals through our helpline and support services.

We are proud of our commitment to transparency, cultural integrity, and effective community engagement.About the RoleReporting directly to the General Manager, the Fundraising & Partnerships Lead will be pivotal in enhancing the fundraising capabilities of Vinnies Tamaki Makaurau Trust.

This role focuses on transitioning our fundraising model from a primarily transactional approach to a diversified, relationship-driven ecosystem.

You will support the organisation in building sustainable funding streams that empower our community and enhance our service delivery.

This role is based at the Vinnies Tamaki Makaurau Hub in Onehunga.We value personal and professional development, and we are committed to mentoring you on your unique journey as you engage in meaningful work in a supportive environment.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to learn and grow within the community sector while making a significant impact on Auckland whanau.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement a strategic fundraising roadmap for Vinnies to diversify revenue streams.Build and maintain partnerships with corporate and philanthropic organisations aligned with our mission.Establish and manage a modern donor management system.Launch and oversee a monthly Regular Giving programme targeting active donors.Activate and engage volunteers in peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives.Provide training and support to staff and volunteers to embed fundraising knowledge and practices.QualificationsProven experience and success in fundraising and corporate partnership development.Strong understanding of donor management systems and best practices in fundraising.Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.Ability to engage and inspire volunteers and community members.Competent user of digital tools and platforms for fundraising and donor engagement.A commitment to cultural integrity, particularly in alignment with Maori and Pasifika values.BenefitsFlexible work arrangements to support work-life balance.Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.Access to a supportive and collaborative team environment.Free Car parking and discounted food from Vinnies Kitchen.Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the community.Career progression opportunities within a well-established organisation.Salary, Term & StartThis is a six-month position with a salary of up to $50k (100k pro rata).

The role may be extended beyond six months if sufficient funding is secured to cover the salary costs.
