Caregiver

We are hiring Experienced Caregiver. Golden Pond Private Hospital, independently owned and operated since 1989, has been proudly serving the Eastern Bay of Plenty community with compassionate, high-quality care. With long-term staff members of over 20 years’ service, the 50-bed facility offers both private hospital and palliative care in a modern, purpose-built environment near the Whakatāne township. Attached private apartments are also available for rest home and hospital-level care — truly locals caring for locals.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.

Support clients with meal preparation and feeding.

Administer and remind clients of medication under supervision.

Perform light household duties such as laundry and tidying.

Maintain client confidentiality and respect their privacy.

Report any changes in a client’s condition to the registered duty nurse.

Work a minimum of 30 hours and up to 40 hours per week on a rotating roster.

Pay rate : $25–$30 per hour , depending on relevant experience (paid fortnightly).

Essential Requirements :

At least 2 years of relevant experience .

Level 2 Qualification or higher in Health and Wellbeing (or equivalent).

Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Must be legally eligible to work in New Zealand.
