The Opportunity :
Fulton Hogan is looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Canterbury based team. The role will encompass leading the pursuit of new business streams, assist with managing our land portfolio within Canterbury and provide general commercial support to the business and projects when needed.
You'll be responsible for working with all levels of management to achieve business objectives across the Canterbury and West Coast region, supporting them to grow their businesses while monitoring our performance.
In addition to the above you will :
- Investigate and support opportunities for business growth, preparing business cases addressing said opportunities and liaising with internal stakeholders in line with our internal approval procedures.
- Oversee our land portfolio and own the relationships with our advisors, such as valuers, real estate agents and existing lessees / lessors.
- Work with our regional land and environmental managers ensuring that we have the relevant consents to operate now and into the future across our various sites and operations.
- Provide general commercial support to the wider business where required which can include financial analysis, resolution of contractual matters under NZS3910 etc.
- Own key agreements relating to regional operations in conjunction with the regional commercial manager.
- Monitor, review and report on progress relating to opportunities being pursued on land related matters.
- Identify opportunities for growth either within the business or externally and prepare business cases addressing these opportunities.
- Where required provide general commercial support to our wider business including participation at project reviews, delivering updates on market conditions to business managers and delivering training.
- Assist the regional Commercial Manager with the preparation of business cases and business analysis.
- Lead improvements and initiatives to enable efficient and effective processes, systems and procedures.
