Job Overview
Based at our current East Tamaki Design Centre, the Global Product Management (GPM) team drives the strategic direction and profitable growth of our various product portfolios.
The Associate Product Manager supports the successful introduction of new products into markets.
This role works across all brand and category projects in a fluid manner, supporting fluctuating workloads and giving you variety and a broad knowledge across all product lines.
You will gain exposure with Chief Engineers, Industrial Designers and our global & regional teams, supporting the business strategy and leading goals for Fisher & Paykel Appliances.
As a product-focused role, you will establish and maintain strong relationships with many areas of the business.
You will manage New Product Requests end-to-end, monitor pre-launch project actions and timelines, raise challenges early and facilitate action where needed.
Over time you will develop a deep understanding of the global competitive landscape for relevant categories and turn data from multiple sources into genuine insights.
Who are you?
We're looking for someone passionate about products and actively uses a continuous improvement lens to identify and engage stakeholders, ensuring successful product launches in markets.
You will support the GPM team with administrative tasks and grow into a role that influences and leads across the business to ensure commercial success of product lines.
You are proactive, demonstrate initiative, are highly organised and may have a drive for career growth.
As your skillset and competency grow, you will gain operational ownership and leadership of specific product projects, sub-categories, and special projects aligned to business goals.
You thrive in a hands-on environment, influence stakeholders across the business and throughout the product life cycle with sound reasoning and a natural collaborative style.
A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business or Engineering is an advantage, but the right attitude is crucial.
