You will be part of :

building community resilience to natural hazards and climate change – elevated infrastructure to mitigate future flood events.

design communities – working on one of the largest land development projects in the South Island for the public and private sector

protect New Zealand's water quality – design 3-waters systems to enhance the natural environment and to ensure community needs are met.

Who you are :

This is a great opportunity for a motivated intermediate civil engineer to join a busy Christchurch office.

You will have a Washington Accord engineering tertiary qualification and developed technical reporting skills with experience in 3 Waters modelling and design – infrastructure and / or land development.

As project lead on small to mid-size projects you will work in a team and you will be able to communicate ideas with clients and colleagues.

Your daily adventures will also include :

researching new technologies and optimizing software

obtaining information and data

creating hydraulic models (we use EPANET, PCSWMM and HEC HMS)

learning and using technical knowledge to make decisions and solve problems

communicating within and outside the organization

developing designs and providing documentation

coordinating the work and activities of others

inspecting project sites to monitor progress
