About the Role
We are seeking an
Allied Health Discharge Coordinator to join our Allied Health Support Team.
This is an inaugural position, which is being established to support patient
flow with a particular focus on discharge.
This role will be based
at Christchurch Hospital General Medicine, across selected wards, supporting
Allied Health and multidisciplinary teams to maximise efficiency
and timing of patient discharge.
The success of this position will enable
timelier patient admissions from ED to the corresponding General Medicine
wards; this role, in turn, will support shorter stays in ED.
The Allied Health
Discharge Coordinator will need to be able to develop trusted ways of working
across Allied health disciplines, and within clinical staff on the wards, as
well as with their corresponding profession specific leaders.
