The Auahatanga Activation Coordinators support and engage customers to explore the technology available. The role is designed to promote and unlock opportunities the Auahatanga spaces can offer individuals and community groups, by empowering digital knowledge and confidence for the benefit of our communities.
This role will be based primarily at the Matatiki Hornby Centre, as well as moving around our Auahatanga - Creative Spaces and Libraries throughout the city, activating the spaces as needed. Matatiki holds a purpose built Auahatanga - Creative Space in its centre, along with a mini recording studio. In this role you'll be responsible for activating these spaces, through various workshops and encouraging access through connections made. You'll be working with the community, local schools and businesses to see how this space can support the wider community.
To succeed in this role you'll be proactive, have excellent self-management and communication skills, and above all - a creative spirit. You'll be confident at learning new technologies and encouraging others to have a go. Not only will you inspire, you'll get to play! Encourage everyone to connect with their artistic side, grow their skillsets, and have a whole lot of fun doing it. Ideally you’ll be well connected within the wider Hornby community, and able to draw on those established community connections.
