Manufacturing Technician

Overview

Work Schedule : Standard (Mon-Fri).

Environmental Conditions : Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Standing for full shift.

Manufacturing Technician, Protein Separation Unit, Christchurch (12 month fixed-term).

Where and what is it?

As a Manufacturing Technician at our facility in Islington, Christchurch, you will be producing our market leading Gibco cell culture media and freeze-dried powder products, used in research, diagnostics, animal health and pharmaceuticals.

Working Monday to Friday, mainly from 6am to 2 : 30pm, some flexibility in working hours to meet production requirements is required, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. In return, we offer a competitive starting rate and the benefits listed below!

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a small team in a purpose-built modern manufacturing environment, actively operating equipment and processes while following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and current Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Be involved in our strong safety and continuous improvement culture.
• Train in multiple protein separation processes, completing day-to-day production activities and Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs), ensuring that all information is accurate, legible and correct to guarantee traceability.
• Communicate production issues to the Production Supervisor or Team Leaders as they arise, and carry out related duties or assigned tasks that lead to efficient operation of the team and business
