Class 5 Linehaul Driver- Visy Freight Division

Role Details :

Routes :  Supporting our Visy Freight Division team and doing runs across both the North and South Islands.

Locations : Based out of Tauranga.

Hours : minimum 45 hours, full-time permanent position. You may be away for 1-2 nights at a time.

What you'll do :

• Operate B Train combinations for timely and efficient freight pick-up and delivery to sites across both North and South Island.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy and compliant.
• Accurately complete electronic reporting systems and other required documentation.
• Comply with all company / site policies and state and national transport regulations, including Fatigue Management and Chain of Responsibility laws.
• Adhere to all load restraint guidelines to ensure freight is securely transported.

What you will bring to the team :

• A valid Clean Class 5 Licence and Dangerous goods licence.
• A minimum of 2 years’ recent experience operating Class 5 Truck and B-Train experience is essential.
• Experience with Curtain Siders, Truck & Trailer or Container Trailers is desirable.
• Sound knowledge of the regional areas and South Island routes.
• Excellent communication, time management skills and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• A comprehensive understanding of road, fatigue, and load restraint laws.
• Pride in the presentation and maintenance of trucks and equipment.
