• About the role
• Ward 11 rehabilitation / transition mental health unit is a 10-bed inpatient unit working with those on their mental health recovery journey.

This is an inpatient mentalhealth rehabilitation / sub-acute setting based at Wakari Hospital, Dunedin, for adults who have a long-term mental illness and co-existing problems.Psychology is a discipline integrating science, theory and clinical knowledge for the purpose of understanding, preventing and relieving psychologically based distress or dysfunction and to promote subjective well- being and personal development.The purpose of the role is to provide a high-quality clinical psychology service in the assessment and treatment of clients, ensuring clients' needs are met in a culturally, clinically and legally safe manner.

The psychologist functions as part of a multidisciplinary team.
