## Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this roleWe are looking for someone to work alongside our current Screening and Enquiries Team Leader. You will have shared and individual responsibilities of the ‘Front Door' operations. This is a permanent role based in our Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington) office.

- You will lead and develop one of two teams made up of Screening and Enquiries Analysts and Senior Analysts, who act as the ‘front door' for New Zealanders engaging with our organisation. These teams play a vital role in capturing, analysing, assessing, and triaging more than 15,000 contacts each year across all of the Commission's regulatory areas. As the leader of the screening and enquiries function, you will be accountable for delivering your team's work, driving key projects and initiatives, and ensuring the provision of high-quality, well-informed advice.The indicative salary range for a Screening and Enquiries Team Leader is $114,327- $134,502 plus 3% KiwiSaver employer contribution. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects their individual skills, experience, and internal relativities across the organisation.

- With a background in both customer service and compliance, you'll ideally bring technical expertise in triage and screening assessments, along with a solid understanding of enforcement frameworks and their practical application. You'll be confident engaging sensitively with members of the public when needed, and ideally, you'll have some leadership experience. However, we also see this as a great opportunity to grow your leadership capabilities and further develop your people-leader toolkit.You'll enjoy working collaboratively with your team, peers, and subject matter experts across the Commission to prioritise areas of greatest harm to New Zealand consumers and markets. With your continuous improvement mindset, you'll bring fresh, practical ideas to help deliver and implement the team's objectives effectively.Proactive and solutions-focused, you'll be able to think, write, and communicate with clarity. You'll be inquisitive, with strong critical thinking skills, and comfortable presenting to stakeholders at all levels, including other agencies.
