Role summary

In this role not only will you need to have strong personal values which align with ours, you will need a work ethic that is second to none as this will be the true key to your success. This is a great opportunity to use your leadership and organisational skills, as you will be responsible for managing the day to day running of checkouts and customer services. You\'ll lead a team and motivate them to deliver great customer service to every customer, every time. You\'ll use your communication and problem solving ability to help the team navigate tricky purchases and solve problems for our customers. This role is full time, and rostered Sunday - Thursday.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day running of checkouts and customer services at Mitre 10 MEGA Petone.
  • Supervise and motivate a team to deliver excellent customer service to every customer, every time.
  • Utilise communication and problem-solving skills to assist the team with tricky purchases and customer issues.
  • Ensure a safe, productive, and positive work environment; maintain a customer-obsessed and collaborative culture.

What we’re looking for / Qualifications

  • A passion for GREAT customer service at all times
  • Experience in supervising and leading a team, or experience as a senior team member with the desire to lead
  • Ability to maximise team productivity
  • Ability to manage a varied and busy workload
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to think ahead and offer innovative solutions
  • General computer skills and understanding of administrative process
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of health & safety systems / processes
  • Be physically fit as there will be prolonged walking and standing on concrete floors, manual handling and lifting
