About the Role :

We’re looking for two Mechanical Maintenance Fitters to join our busy and growing team in Christchurch – one new position and one replacement role. At Citycare Water , you’ll be part of a highly skilled and experienced team that takes pride in keeping our city’s essential systems running smoothly.

In this crucial role, you will be at the forefront of maintaining and repairing our pumps and storage facilities, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our operations across Christchurch and Banks Peninsula.

Key responsibilities :

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on pumps, storage facilities, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Carry out installations, upgrades, and calibrations of mechanical systems and components.
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance activities and enhance operational efficiency.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities and equipment status.
• Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

What we’re Looking For :

All preferred candidates will be required to complete preemployment checks to the employer’s satisfaction. These checks include but are not limited to, Ministry of Justice criminal conviction report, medical assessment, and drug and alcohol testing.
