Gardener – Waiheke Island

We’re seeking a reliable and experienced Gardener / Property Maintenance person to join our team. If you’re passionate about horticulture, enjoy a hands-on role outdoors, and can bring practical skills in both gardening and property care, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role :

This role involves a range of gardening and grounds maintenance tasks, work to rejuvenate native forest and care of a small orchard on the property. Tasks include :

• Preparing soil and garden beds for planting
• Planting a variety of plants
• Assessing tree health and identifying signs of disease or decay
• Applying treatments to prevent or manage pests and diseases
• Pruning and trimming hedges and trees - involved using chainsaw and other hand tools
• Installing plant supports and protective structures
• Caring for trees, gardens and green areas through regular watering, mowing, mulching, fertilising, and weed control
• Assembling and installing landscape features
• Other property maintenance tasks such as general housekeeping, waterblasting, car and building cleaning and assisting the owner with any other duty required around the property.
