Gardener Assistant

We are looking for a few suitable Gardener Assistant to join our growing company based in Auckland.

The role is primarily to assist our Gardeners, learn the trade and eventually grow to become gardeners to work independently.

This is a full-time role with a minimum of 30 hours per week gauranteed.

Role responsibility :

Assist the gardener in maintaining and constructing gardens and landscapes

Assist the gardener in planting and plant care, gardening, weeding and mowing

Responsible for health and safety checks

Flexible to work at different locations

Attention to details to fix things

Able to lay down turf and synthetic grass

Keep all tools and equipments clean.

You must have the following qualities :

Minimum 1 year relevant experience in a similar role

Proven experience in opertaing Ride on Mower.

Ability to operate landscaping equipment

Good communication skills and customer service skills.

Flexible to work at different locations

Must be physically fit to carry out daily tasks which involves heavy lifting, loading, unloading and operating manual machinery etc.

Able to work on weekends / early morning start Able to pass drug test and Ministry of Justice check.

Valid drivers licence or the ability to obtain one in 3 months to commute to work sites
