About the Role
Our Radiation Oncology department is expanding from Palmerston North to New Plymouth and has vacancies for a number of medical physics roles across the region.
We are seeking highly motivated Radiation Oncology Medical Physicists to make up our diverse team of nine physicists, two physics registrars and one engineer.
Our service spans Manawatu and Taranaki.
We treat with five Truebeam accelerators and a 300kV Orthovoltage unit.
Pre-treatment uses a Siemens Confidence CT scanner and Raystation TPS.
The department utilises Elekta Mosaiq as our OIS.
The successful applicants will participate in a broad range of clinical physics activities, including quality assurance, calibration, commissioning of equipment, development of treatment techniques and training and education of other staff.
Successful candidates will primarily be located at one of our sites but may occasionally be required to travel to the other.

The successful applicant will be required to obtain a Use License for Radiation Oncology Medical Physics practices from the New Zealand Office of Radiation Safety.
The title of the position offered to the successful applicant will depend on qualifications held and length of experience.
