Procurement & Inventory Specialist

OverviewJoin to apply for the Procurement & Inventory Specialist role at Mitre 10 (New Zealand) Limited.This full-time role (40 hours per week) is based at the Mitre 10 Ponsonby store and focuses on optimizing inventory and procurement management within a dynamic, customer-focused retail environment.

It is a key holder position reporting to the Store Manager, with rostered duty support days across the rostered week.ResponsibilitiesUtilize SAP systems to manage stock from a procurement focus, through to POSWork with leadership to identify stock level solutions and rangingForm relationships with suppliers to ensure timely, positive stock opportunitiesMaximize the integrity of physical and computerized inventory recordsLead and work with a small team to ensure stock control fundamentals are managed correctly (stock location maintenance, negative stock, gap scanning and review, general stock maintenance, price updating and control)Work with in-store POS, promotional ticketing, and resources to ensure compliance with Mitre 10 promotional initiativesEnsure product is accurately tracked and replenished in-store; investigate any stock discrepanciesAssist with the implementation of stock takes and stock take proceduresEnsure sufficient stock on hand at the beginning of advertised promotionsQualificationsExperience using SAP resource planning systems (highly preferable)Proven expertise in procurement and managing inventory within a fast-moving retail environmentUnderstanding of inwards goods and stock receipting processesExperience with invoice reconciliationStrong analytical skills and forecasting experienceOutstanding organizational and critical thinking skillsLeadership / supervisory experience is advantageousWe offerA One Team ethos, where we all work together to build a positive culture and celebrate successTraining and advancement opportunitiesOn-site parkingStaff buying privileges in storeA range of savings with national product and service providers, via our "Team Perks" programFlexibility to work hours / days required
