Supply Planner

Job Overview
The Supply Planner plays a critical role in anticipating and maintaining inventory levels and actively managing the flow of product to ensure customer requirements can be delivered upon, in a responsive and cost-effective manner.
This role involves the development of tools, reports, and data-based planning to achieve optimal demand and supply planning performance, ensuring inventory management, placement of purchase orders, and oversight of deliveries to support the business within the S&OP process.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Planning
Manage the development of a Supply Plan to meet the demand plan each month / week.
Negotiate and manage planning parameters with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of product to our warehouse to support our customers.
Monitor inventory regularly and report potential out-of-stock situations to the commercial business in a timely manner; provide an overview of supply situation and availability.
Develop and maintain supplier forecasts and liaise with vendors in negotiation and confirmation of forecasts.
Ensure each supplier has a clearly defined inventory policy that sets the minimum service level for each item.
Participate in relevant demand planning processes and meetings, aligning monthly / weekly requirements based on business needs.
Manage SKU phase-out / phase-in processes to ensure stock availability and limit product write-offs.
Develop a weekly / monthly process to review actual inventory vs. inventory policy, meeting or exceeding fill-rate performance, demand forecast accuracy and supplier delivery performance, providing the business confidence in ongoing supply and service levels, and prioritising suppliers on any expediting PO or shipment priorities.
Monitor supplier performance and delivery timelines to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.
Lead and attend meetings with internal teams (Sales, Demand Planner, Warehouse, Customer Services) and external key suppliers to ensure delivery of service, inventory, and cost targets, maintaining an escalation and communication process to handle exceptions.
Provide visibility to the business and sales teams of all slow-moving and obsolete inventory; work with Demand Planners and Sales to agree actions to clear slow-moving stock.

Freight and Logistics Control
Manage inbound logistics (cost and delivery performance) for all purchase orders.
Accurately price all inbound freight and manage delivery dates to maintain an accurate ETA in the MRP system.
Sourcing and procurement of all goods and products in a dedicated buying portfolio cost-effectively, timely and professionally.
Ensure inbound freight and logistics decisions support full / on-time delivery and are cost-efficient.
Relationship Management and Teamwork

2-3 years of production or supply planning experience with complex products.
Specific experience in purchasing, scheduling or supply planning roles.
Experience using MRP / planning systems.

Experience in the health sector.
