A successful candidate will demonstrate :
Expertise in teaching English to NCEA Level 3
Experience and ability to work with and support Maori and Pacific akonga
A collaborative approach to teaching and learning across curriculum areas
The ability to build strong connections with akonga and whanau
A commitment to the development of literacy and numeracy within a subject context
A developing understanding of matauranga Maori and its relevance in English education
A desire to honour obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
All members of our teaching staff also serve as learning advisors, supporting students in their academic and personal growth.
There is the potential to take on an additional 1 fixed term management unit (MU) as leader of learning – Y11 English.
