• The Role :
• Our new Tamariki team will provide culturally responsive specialist mental health care for Tamariki with mental health and addiction problems. We serve the communities of South Auckland and are developing a new team that will develop links with primary care and schools so we can work in an integrated way. The team will be centrally located along our existing Child & Adolescent Mental Health team at our Springs Road site and will have extensive community outreach capacity.We are seeking a
• Clinical Coordinator
• to provide clinical and operational leadership in this team. This role works closely with the Team Manager and Senior Medical Officers to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality care for tangata whaiora and their whaanau.You will be responsible for supporting workforce development, mentoring and supervising clinicians, overseeing caseloads, and driving continuous service improvement. This is a dynamic role that balances clinical practice with leadership, planning, and coordination, all while fostering an environment that prioritises equity, cultural safety, and recovery-focused care. • Key Responsibilities :
• Provide clinical and operational leadership to a multi-disciplinary team.
• Ensure safe and effective delivery of community mental health services, including Integrated Specialist Episodic Care (ISPEC).
• Support workforce development, professional growth, and clinical supervision of staff.
• Coordinate and monitor caseloads, service user reviews, and resource allocation.
• Drive continuous quality improvement and contribute to business planning.
• Work in partnership with Maaori and Pacific communities to improve equity and hauora outcomes.
• Uphold the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in service design and delivery.

• Access to ongoing education and training opportunities# Essential :
• NZ Registered Clinician (e.g nurse, social worker or OT).
• Current Annual Practicing Certificate
• 5+ years post registration experience in Mental Health, including child and adolescent community mental health experience
• Full, NZ drivers licence with no limitations
• Post Grad Certificate in Mental health or equivalent.
• Understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi and cultural competencies required in the service
• Desirable :
• Understanding of child development.
• Previous experience working with children.
