Represents Te Toka Tumai within the health service and broader community, working closely with Maori Health Leads, senior leaders, and governance bodies to contribute to integrated, high-performing care systems and strategic planning.

About the Role
Join Health New Zealand | Te Toka Tumai Auckland and play a vital leadership role in supporting the Surgical and Perioperative Directorate. These roles are senior leadership positions accountable for all aspects of performance and delivery across the Directorate.
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary leader for the role ofDirector of Womens Health, a pivotal position within Te Toka Tumai Auckland. Reporting to the Group Director of Operations, this role holds full accountability for the performance and delivery of services within the Womens Health Directorate.
As the most senior post in the Directorate, the Director provides visible, clinically informed leadership and operational oversight across critical areas including clinical governance, risk management, research and development, and service improvement.
The successful candidate will champion high-quality clinical outcomes, foster a culture of accountability, and ensure Te Tiriti o Waitangi is upheld in all aspects of service delivery.
Working in close partnership with the Maori Health Lead and senior leaders across Te Toka Tumai and Te Whatu Ora, the Director will contribute to integrated, high-performing care systems and represent the organisation across the health sector and community.
This role also plays a key part in strategic planning and reporting to senior leadership and governance bodies. While we are seeking a clinician with strong leadership capabilities, we welcome applications from non-clinical leaders who can demonstrate high clinical credibility and a commitment to patient-centred care.
