Crown Lift Trucks New Zealand is proud of its history of serving New Zealand’s businesses and communities for the past 43+ years. Crown Lift Trucks is one of the world’s largest manufacturers and suppliers of lift trucks / forklifts and is a trusted brand with a reputation for quality and customer satisfaction. With 15 branches and around 300 employees throughout New Zealand, we are one of the biggest names in lift truck supplies.

The role

Reporting to the Regional Branch Operations Manager, you will join our knowledgeable and experienced sales team and be supported by great training and shared expertise across the business. Based in Wellington in New Zealand's Lower North Island, you’ll work with existing customer accounts in your allocated territory, building long term relationships and maximising sales whilst generating and pursuing leads and seeking out new business in a highly competitive market.

Being a market leader in our field, our products and solutions can be found across many different industries of all sizes and complexities, creating great sales opportunities for our team. You’ll look after our varied customer base throughout the area, plus you’ll develop and secure new business opportunities; build partnerships and customer relationships with existing clients; look for new and diverse market segments in which to grow; and devise a strategic growth plan for the area focusing on local businesses to maximise profitability. There is lots of flexibility in the role and you will work closely with our operations teams around the region.

Requirements

About you

To shine in this role, you’ll bring your energetic and enthusiastic self to work every day. To really understand and relate to our customers, an automotive or trade-related industry background or knowledge would be advantageous however it’s not absolutely essential. To be successful you will have a proven sales success with a background in B2B sales development / sales disciplines and be able to demonstrate strategic planning and solid negotiation skills.

A fantastic ‘can do’ attitude and a positive out-going personality are the key qualities we’re searching for.  Whilst we’d love you to have proven experience within an Industrial Capital Equipment Sales or Service role, being a team player, an ambitious sales professional and having great customer service / relationship skills is much more important to us. If you have the right attitude, are willing and eager to learn and grow, then we can teach you the rest!

With a strong career path and opportunities within our business, being able to demonstrate leadership skills and potential will stand you in good stead for this role.
