Otumoetai College is seeking a dedicated and dynamic food technology kaiako to join us in inspiring the next generation of designers and innovators.

We are looking for a highly skilled and relational kaiako who can deliver engaging and practical programs across the Technology curriculum, up to NCEA Level 3.

The successful applicant will have a strong curriculum knowledge, a commitment to integrating literacy and numeracy through Technology as well as the use of digital technologies in the learning process.

Responsibilities

Collaboratively designing and delivering exciting and authentic programmes in food technology.

Fostering a safe, positive, and creative classroom environment.

Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.

Staying up-to-date with current trends in food and processing technologies.

Managing and maintaining a well-equipped and hygienic food environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience teaching food technology at secondary school level.

A passion for design, innovation, and technological processes.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.

An innovative and flexible approach to teaching and learning.
